What a wet day!

We followed a couple of river bike routes for a bit today, the Bayrisch- Schwäbische Roth and the Iller. In principle quite nice, but the wet gravel made it strenuous and dirty.

We kept changing between Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg, and discovered where Liebherr is based (Kirchdorf).

After having arrived in Memmingen and having had our shower to get clean and warm again we explored the town by following the ‘red route’. There is a lot of information about the Bauernkrieg on special signs, so we learnt more again.

I was also awed by seeing the house that the twelve articles were written and signed .

There are many other impressive buildings, many of them built by the ‘Zünfte ‘ in the middle ages.

The tax house and town hall are also beautiful.

An excellent day despite the rain.
