Having left the hotel in an industrial estate we headed downhill quickly and steeply to get to Blaubeuren and the ‘Blauer Topf ‘.

The monastry and old city were also very beautiful.

Then we followed the stream Blau downhill to Ulm, very pleasant.

Further along the Danube, where we had lunch in a beergarden in a former gravel pit.

In Leipheim we went to the ‘Bauernkriegsmuseum’ with very restrictive opening times of three hours a week. This exhibition concentrated on explaining the twelve articles of Memmingen and the first battle of the war at Leipheim. We walked around the town a bit and cycled to the memorial for the battle.

Our hotel for the night is an organic farm that seems to specialise on weddings.

We really enjoyed going downhill all day on what was probably the last really warm day of the year.

We are now very close to Legiland Germany 🙂
