We were going to leave a week ago, but life interfered. Now my parent’s flat in Fischbachau is sold and the furniture we and Alex wanted moved out.
On top of everything my leather saddle ripped yesterday, after 35 years of stalwart service on two different bikes, and many thousands of km supporting me.

So this morning we cycled to Munich Hbf to catch a train to Regensburg. We managed to travel on a 1 Eur ticket for each bike.
My bike is fully laden, Phil has a handlebar bag on his mountain bike .

Our hotel looks magnificent from the outside, our room is right next to the balcony.

The Kepler museum, the house he died in, is quite informative. Unfortunately the design of the exhibition is such, that it is hard to read some of the writing.

Kepler is also featured on the wall of portraits of significant Regensburg people, which the artist is still working on.

The Bavarian ‘Landesausstellung ‘ (exhibition) was another highlight, we learnt lots about Ludwig I. and his reign (1825 – 1848). This is also of interest, as he was the father of Otto, whom Ottobrunn is named after.

The evening ended with a refreshing local beer. Not so much cycling, but Regensburg is well worth a visit!
