Augsburg – Hohenkammer, 61km (3.10.24)

The morning started misty, at noon it changed into greyness. And about 2km before our accommodation it actually started raining.

Some of the route out of Augsburg seemed familiar, up to the 13% climb in Friedberg – but this time we were lucky: a local dog walker suggested a different route, eminently more cyclable. Today is the first day I did not use my granny gear.

It continued slightly hilly, as one can tell from the names of the places we went through.

Odelzhausen seems to be an important point on the Räuber -Kneissl- bike route, at least it is very well equipped.

We had lunch in a castle (Odelzhausen) and ultimately stayed in a castle (Hohenkammer), felt quite special.

From Odelzhausen we basically followed the ‘Ring der Regionen ‘, not really intended, but quite interesting.
