It was 10° colder and less sunny than I was led to expect when I was packing. Cold fingers were the result, and never feeling quite comfortably warm enough.

The route was very nice in the beginning, I partially followed the ‘Rheinterassenweg’ and partially the Rhine bike path. Nice mixture of vineyards and river.

Ass usual, when following a river, waste water treatment works are part of the scenery. I decided to include a picture this time.

The industrial complex of Ludwigshafen is quite impressive, there are at least 15 gates to access it.

I got to see a totally different side of Mannheim, it harbours the second largest baroque palace after Versaille, impressive!

Got to the train station in good time, my train to Munich only had 5 mins delay, but that meant I missed my S-Bahn connection.
