Did not get really wet today, but it was spitting at times. Enjoyed the cycling very much, as it really was not hilly, and the fairly strong wind came from the side. In the meantime it is quite autumnal.
It was very interesting to see how many reservoirs there are along this bit of the Lech, not at all the wild, original river it is advertised as.
Even on this easy bit of cycling ebikers are very much catered for.
Had a break in Pittriching, at the only bakery we could find online. Turns out it was the last ‘corner shop’ in the place with a very (politically) outspoken owner – very entertaining and informative. Just before we saw this very interesting Assisi-chapel.
The only bit of this part of the Lech cycling route that was not beautiful was between Mering and the edge of Augsburg – along the main road. We came into Augsburg a different way again, this time staying near the minster.
Walked around Augsburg in the afternoon and found a ‘Dult’ (market for all kinds of useful and not so necessary things) at the Vogeltor.
As usual we did some clothes washing in the evening. We have been lucky throughout this trip so far, that all the sinks were practical for that, and there were towel radiators in the bathrooms.
