Oberstaufen – Nesselwang, 55km (29.9.24)

It did not rain, but the headwind was stronger than forecast. My legs were tired from the day before, it all made for a strenuous day with the nearly 700m climbed.

Started from Oberstaufen in the mist/high clouds and cycled along a valley and the Alpsee to Immenstadt, where we had our first break and warmed up a bit.

From there on it became hillier and we could tell we were in the Allgäu. We had lunch at an inn that had been rescued by the village community in Vorderburg bought and renovated, very nicely done. The only place we saw outside the towns all day.

Phil liked going through the place called Oy, and as we rolled down into Nesselwang we found ourselves a hotel with pool and sauna, which we used.
