Ising – Rosenheim, 71km (12.5.24)

Excellent ride fairly early in the morning round the North side of the Chiemsee, before most other cyclists and walkers got going.

At Breitenbrunn we met a very friendly elderly gentleman, who explained the history of the place to us. Turns out, he was the local historian, and used to be a local councillor. He told us that Mozart’s uncle had been a stonemason and had worked on the local church.

We carried on in the direction of Wasserburg, but did not go down to the town. We decided to have lunch as soon as we saw a place. Just as well, there was nothing after Eiselfing.

The last bit was along the Inn on a gravel path, before we caught the train back, again without hitch.
